Description

The Terminal Block is an OEM part for Bosch dishwashers. It serves as the connection point where the household electrical power supply is connected to the dishwasher's internal wiring harness.

Causes of a malfunctioning Terminal Block can include loose connections allowing arcing or short circuits, corrosion buildup due to moisture exposure, or physical damage from impact.  

Symptoms of a bad Terminal Block include:

  • No power to the dishwasher at all
  • Intermittent power issues or the dishwasher unexpectedly losing power
  • Signs of overheating, burning or arcing around the terminal block area

This genuine OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau and select Kenmore models.

The terminal shorted out

The cable supply and cord has to be replaced. Very simple. Saved hundreds of dollars in repair bills.

Improperly installed power feed

Improperly connected neutral wire caused overheating, burning out wire and melted / burned plastic terminal block. Replacement part is identical to OEM and installed in a jiffy.

Used Bosch dishwasher was missing power plug.

The parts diagram showed that the hard wire power, lug and wiring strip were two different items which I ordered both… When they arrived, the power block already contained the wiring strip… And I’d like to return that part, because it wasn’t clear on parts diagram… Thank you…
