Bosch 00181170 Thermostat, Regular Wash (135¦F), Shu 303X/313X OEM Part

Originally thought it was the timer, but after googling this condition, discovered it's almost always the thermostat - which is a lot cheaper than a timer and MUCH easier to replace. Ordered and received quickly - exactly what I ordered. Pulled the perimeter screws from the back side of the front panel. Removed panel, slide down slightly, and away from the bottom, comes of easy. There is a plastic wire 'keeper' that has 2 push locks, you'll need needle nose pliers to release the locks, then slide the whole plastic keeper up - this gives you easy access to the thermostat. The thermostat is held in place by the metal clip sliding over a slot, so you'll need to get a small screw driver in there to relieve the tab, then it simply slides out towards the front. Swap the wires over to the new thermostat and reinstall in reverse order. I didn't have any thernal grease, luckily, almost all from the original thermostat stayed in place on the metal door, so I just made sure the new thermostat was seated well into the existing thermal grease. To be safe, plan on having thermal grease - I just didn't plan ahead... Works great! Dishwasher runs perfectly now.
