Roy L Artesia , NM February 03, 2024 The damper on the range hood was broken. I bought the control board just encase it was a fuse. On my range hood from Kenmore, you have to cut away the sealing tape on the vent pipe. Remove the shroud covering the vent pipe. Unplug the power cord, and remove the two screws that hold up the electric connection (the fuse was in the center box). Then you can lift up the vent pipe to get to the damper. Reverse the order when you put it back together. Be sure to put on new sealing tape on the vent so water cannot leak into the house. Sounds like a lot of work, but only took about 30 minutes.
