Jack D Mullica Hill , NJ May 27, 2014 Appliance: Model 36 INCH BEST BY BROAN Unable to control fan exhaust(manual slider perished) Ordered Fan Switch Plate (thought it was the entire switch). Propped myself up on the 6-burner, leaned against the stainless back splash and got to work.....removed 8 screws, dropped lite/switch box and old switch plate (tricky clips), and was pleased to find control box was still intact, albeit, really greasy. My switch plate was broken (plastic flanges on either side of the slider control broke off ). Cleaned up the control box, installed new switch plate, reconnected wiring plugs and before I reattached to the fan chassis, tried lights and fan, good to go. Screwed everything back together, had a shot and cooked dinner. Exhaust fan works nice.
