How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP4355167 / 00611652 On / Off Button

Got all the comparable stainless parts and replaced the white dishwasher parts. It looks great and was a very easy swap. 

Ordered button and switch. Repair went pretty well. Video for switch showed a different model Bosch dishwasher than the one I have. Fortunately, watched video for button which showed correct model. Otherwise, I would have removed the front panel unnecessarily. Video showed switch cover which was not there. No real problems though. Back up and running. Took maybe 10 minutes. 

The cycle would randomly stop with an error E25 and I would find water in the bottom of the dishwasher. I could pump the water out by lifting the float after the water cooled down. I cleaned out small debris and hair from the bottom drain a couple of times and it helped. I decided to replace the drain pump when E25 happened all the time. I also installed a new check valve in the drain line. I removed the dishwasher and tipped it on its side for easy access to the pump. The new pump was nearly silent compared to the old one. Error E25 did not return. I removed the armature from the old pump and found hair and lint wrapped around the shaft between the impeller and the bearing making the shaft hard to rotate. Drain hoses were not clogged. Very easy repair. 

Replaced the button. I also replaced the on/off switch to play it safe.

First I watch the repair on YouTube on how to take the door and button off. I ordered the new switch and button. Then came in super fast. It took me like 5 minutes to complete the repair. Now it works like brand new. 

First we went on line to Appliance Parts Pro to determine why the button was on and how to fix the problem. We ordered the parts. We watched the video about how to repair the dishwasher. Installed the parts. Easy fix and no service man needed! Savings in our pocket!
