How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP3783205 / 00439671 Fastening Ring

I had a small water leak under my Bosch washing machine. I thought it was the drain pump, but found a small crack in the door seal after removing the front panel (that required removing four T20 screws). The seal is easy to remove, but it required two sets of hands to reinstall the spring ring attaching the seal to the drum housing. 

Replaced the door seal and door holding spring and fastening ring. Both springs were difficult to attach. You almost need three hands. But I would not replace the door seal without replacing both springs. It doesn't make sense to take everything apart and leave two old parts, especially for the cost. The springs are not expensive. Excellent You tube video for instructions. 

I watched a YouTube video which showed me the steps on replacing the seal. Overall, the repair took me 45 minutes. There was a small pinhole leak in the rubber which was causing the leak. The process was fairly easy and saved me $200 in repair costs.
