How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP2825885 / 00219357 Glass Panel

This crack was caused by user error (saucepan handle was not fully in oven when door was slammed shut). Removed oven door (watched online video to refresh memory), disassembled oven door (keeping track of all the screws), CLEANED all the pieces (it was really filthy), reassembled in the reverse order, and then reinstalled oven door. This was not difficult and required only one screw driver. It did require plenty of counter space and careful attention to detail to keep track of the screws and ensure that nothing got chipped or broken during the repair. The repair itself was straightforward. The deep cleaning was what took most of the time. I was also thrilled that I ordered the part on a Wednesday afternoon and it was delivered to my house the following afternoon. 

Ordered glass through AppliancePartsPros.com and watched a few Youtube videos. Taking the door apart was a little more work than I thought, but it all worked out. I took photos of the progression so I could refer back when putting everything back together. 

Took door apart (after viewing some videos on YouTube) and replaced glass panel. Complicating factor was that our oven door hinge clips/locks were bent out of shape and had to be restored to their original shape so door could be removed. That took most of the repair time. 

Ordered new part, watched you tube video and installed the inner door glass 

Replaced it. 

My oven door glass cracked Tuesday morning before a holiday that had many guests joining us for the weekend. I called Appliance Parts Pros Tuesday afternoon. They helped me identify the part needed, and shipped it via FedEx. It arrived on Wednesday morning and was installed by the afternoon. You all saved the day! What we thought was going to be a major crisis turned out to just be a short delay. Cooking resumed and guests were well fed. Can't thank you enough. 

I ordered the replacement glass from AppliancePartsPros.com. After receiving the replacement glass, I took the door off the oven, opened up the panels to get to the broken glass and replaced the broken glass with the new glass. Put everything back together and as good as new. 

This is her son Ron Angell- I took the door off and placed it on the carpet- then I unscrewed 10 screws on the inside of the door, then unscrewed 8 more on the panel that holds the insulation in and removed the insulation inside the door- and removed the clips from the 7 clips from the glass, and cleaned it with windex- and put the new glass in and put it all back together- about 30 minutes.. 

Replaced glass panel. All it took was a screwdriver a little patience and roughly hour and one half of time. Glass panel arrived on time and packaged extremely well.
