Dishwasher drain was a cobbled-together nightmare under the sink, and it seems that my Ascenta just didn't like it. Kept throwing E24 error and would stop running. A bad repair call ended up with the internal drain hose smashed and pinched, which didn't help. Manually checked the pump and all internal plumbing, didn't find any other obstructions.
I installed an air gap in my sink, and a new regular 6-foot external drainage hose between the internal hose (on the dishwasher) and the air gap. Dishwasher runs like a champ now, and it seems like the flow into the drain is much faster and easier than it was before.
If you have access to the repair manual, this part is what the manual calls the "internal drain hose". Perfect replacement on my Bosch Ascenta
