Chris E Roswell , GA July 14, 2014 Appliance: Thermador PDR486GDZS Thermador model pdr486gdzs griddle wouldn't ignite Called a local appliance service company to fix a Thermador cooktop griddle not lighting. Gave them all model numbers and serial numbers when I scheduled the service so they could bring the part with them. Tech showed up and not only didn't have the part but had no idea what information I gave over the phone. Grrr.... To make it worse, he quotes me $500 to repair a $200 part, but was going to "do me a favor" and install it for $480. I don't think so. Got online and bought the part myself from AppliancePartPros.com (already knew which one it was before the tech even came out, he just confirmed for me that it was indeed that part that was bad) I received the part in 1 day and repaired it in 10 minutes.
