How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP5803154 / 00752274 Insert

It was an easy replacement once I remembered how the went 

I replaced all of the roller wheels on the basket. The were very easy to snap off and to snap on the new ones. I placed the basket upside down on the counter to work on it. The basket rolls very easily now. For the tine row, I left the basket in place in the dishwasher, and removed the tine row. It took about five minutes to figure out how to remove the two tine row holders and remove the tine row. It looks simple, but you have to pay attention to how the holders come out. It took just as long to install the tine row and the two holders. The front holder was the most difficult. Since I was only replacing one tine row, I had the second one, which is identical, to use as a model for reinstallation. It is a good thing that I was not replacing both rows. If I had removed both of them at the same time, I would probably have had more difficulty figuring out how the holders went in. 

Two-part fix. 1) Ordered new lower and upper dishracks removable/adjustable tines from AppliancePartsPros.com along with new plastic clips. Fairly easy to remove the old and snap in the new tines/parts. 2) Unfortunately, the upper dishrack assembly has been out-of-stock (everywhere), so after removing the failed coating and cleaning, I used Re-Rack to "paint" on new coating. Not quite as pretty as I could only find white coat to put on the original grey - but it works. 

Removed tine row attachment clips with a flathead screwdriver, removed broken row and replaced with ordered part. I also ordered the new clips in case they broke during removal. They didn’t break, so I now have spares! 

Snap off/on replacement of part. 

Replaced the Tine Inserts. 

Replaced both adjustable tines on top rack of dishwasher because the plastic coating was compromised and both had rusted with several of the tines broken off. Only took a few minutes to remove old tines and installed new. Did not have to replace the plastic clips as both were in good shape. Very easy to replace with a screwdriver. 

Removed the old row of tines and inserted th new tines. 

Ordered 2 tine replacements and the Tine Row Holders they used (ordered the holders because I was concerned they might break during the tine replacements). By watching the videos on the tine replacements the tine replacements went smoothly. Without the videos you would be guessing at the right way to release the holders. 

Identified parts needed on the appliance parts pros website and ordered. Received the parts in 2-3 days. E-mails confirming the orders back to me also included short videos of the replacement procedure. The replacement was easy with the video direction received. Very pleased with this site and will use them going forward.
