How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP3586196 / 316207510 Oven Control Board

Replaced the control board. I am always nervous about problems where I eliminate everything else so it has to be the $130 control board. But the Appliance Parts Pros part guarantee gave me the confidence to order the part. Everything worked as smooth as possible and the oven works fine. 

I searched for what the code meant then went to AppliancePartsPros.com to find the part that s needed (electronic oven control) I watched the how to video before I ordered it to see what I was getting in to. the part arrived in about a day. I removed the old part and replaced it with the new one. one thing was the oven door was locked when it was replaced if this happens to you press and hold the clear button a few times it worked for me 

I removed control board,while removing spade wires, I wrote down color code as I removed each wire.I put the paper with color code in a "good place" so I could find it when returning from a stay at beach. I went to insrall board and could not find my paper with colorcode. I called appliance and they gave me color code.Then I opened oven AND THERE WAS MY PAPER.LOL.A GOOD PLACE. i love appliance while on hold they have orchestra type music so soothing while waitiing.The staff is helpful and the video of installation is very helpful.I will tell others about this GREAT COMPANY.THis is the type company was America was based on,so gpad they still exist. 

Replaced with new control board. Working fine since. 

This oven control board fixed my Frigidaire stove after something popped and the oven and broiler no longer worked. Stove top elements worked fine. Ordered this control board after reading it fixed similar problems for other people. Received the day after I ordered the part! Repair was straightforward, quick, and easy. I took a picture of the wires connected to the old board before removal for reference during installation. Stove works as it should now. 

Searched the internet for parts. Finally found on APP. Ordered first the cover hoping that was all that was bad. No luck. after much searching, I found the control board but still wasn't sure if it was the correct one. Tried because it was returnable if unused. I lucked out it was the correct panel. Received quickly and worked. 

I found the part number and ordered a new one. I was provided with a video to install and it was perfect. I now have a working stove!

Got the part fast, put it in, works great. I don't live there it's a rental, tenant was very happy 

Disconnect the bake element ,ohm it out , it did not ohm out ,replaced the element You really need a meter to do this or you will just be guessing if it's bad .
