Searched on-line and suggestion was bake element had gone bad. I have an Electrolux Icon oven. It's a bit of a hassle, because you have to get the oven out of the wall and power supply cord was difficult to manage. Also, because of oven size and weight it's a bit unwieldy (would be easier with an assistant). However, once out it's relatively easy to replace the element. The actual problem turned out to be one of the two connectors to the element was destroyed (brittle and crumbling) so I had to make a new connection. Since I wasn't certain whether the bake element was ok or not and since the unit was 12 years old I just decided to replace it, because I didnt' want to reassemble and test it with the new connector. Oven works perfectly now.
