How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2009033 / WB2K15 Bumper

I ordered replacement grate bumpers and received them in less than 24 hours. 

I found a Wiring Diagram for the range online and figured out that the only part that the repairmen had not replaced was the Oven Lock. This lock has (4) microswitches on it that feed back into various parts of the brain telling the brain that it is OK to operate the oven. 

After reviewing the information on AppliancePartsPros.com I ordered the gas oven igniter. I reviewed the video and followed the instructions as best I could, since my model, GE CGS985SET5SS was configured differently than the video, but why should that stop me? It took about 30 minutes to get the igniter mounted and then another hour to finish putting everything back together (it didn't help that I dropped one of the screws, which fell through the oven bottom, requiring me to remove it again). In total, piece of cake. 

Removed and replaced rubber bumpers. 

Replaced bumper. 

Bought grommets from AppliancePartPros.com and installed them! 

2 screws and you have access to the wire clips. Be careful as you pull out the element. I pulled too quickly and one wire came off before it was past the insulation. That made it very difficult to fish the wire out. Would have been a 10 minute job otherwise. 

Went on the website and found what I needed very quickly and easily. I ordered on Monday morning and I received my parts Tuesday. Very impressed.
