How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3420216 / WR02X11743 Lower Cam Riser

Lower and upper cam risers fixed the problem. 

After talking with Ms. Janice B. she explained to me, after I told her my problem that the door would not close properly, what to do. She asked does it seal when closed. I said yes. She explained that it was not the seal but the worn cam risers (hinges) that should be replaced. I made the purchase, watched the short video, and was able to install them in a very short time. Thank you, Ms.Janice. 

I ordered the upper and lower cam riser, replaced them, and adjusted the door and the door works great. I've bought many parts in the last 10 years from AppliancePartsPros for this 20-year-old side-by-side refrig. Still works great. Thanks, ED 

Replaced the worn parts. 

Replaced both upper and lower cam risers. 

Replaced all four cams. It was very easy to do. I didn’t even have to turn off the fridge. You should though when touching electrical connections. The hardest part was aligning the pegs with the holes by myself. Hard to do when balancing the door. Otherwise piece of cake. Thanks guys. 

These parts allowed me to get the frig completed to be able to use it.
