How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP4343845 / WB24T10145 Surface Element Control

First I took the back top panel off the stove. The crackling was coming from the control element. I went directly to AppliancePartsPros.com diagram to see what part I needed. Ordered and the part was delivered within 72 hours. The installation was so easy. Pull a couple wire off and reinstall them on the new control. No more crackling. A repair that would have cost me at least $100.00 or more, done by me for +/- $25.00. I love this site, I love the information you offer for troubleshooting. The part I need for my dryer is already ordered. 

Replaced control surface element 5 minutes works great 

Took the panel off in the back of the stove (5 screws), unscrewed the switches from the front (2 screws each), moved the wires one by one from the old defective switches to the new switches, reinstalled the new switches, reinstalled the back panel. All done in 10 minutes. Burners now work properly. 

Replaced the controls for the surface burners. 

It was a very easy fix.

Order the 2 control surface element controls and replaced it. All you had to do was unscrew 2 screws and replace wire per wire. That was it so simple saved $200.

I replaced all of the control switches on the four eyes.
