How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2020720 / WB14X103 Hinge, Left Side

Install new hinge assembly. 

Ordered new hinge. Fairly easy fix; youtube video helped. 

Checked YouTube video on how to repair. Decided to replace both hinges. Ordered and received hinges. I am a 76-year-old female with a recently injured back, so I didn't get to the project right away. Finally decided I could handle it. Removed oven door and bottom drawer. Had to get down on floor to disconnect springs to hinges. Video said use needle-nose pliers. I had to use channel locks--the springs are quite sturdy. Removed old hinges. Left one, no problem. Right one needed power drill/screwdriver, then the middle screw was still stuck. Took out the top and bottom screws and twisted the hinge. Finally broke loose. After that, no problem, except reattaching those sturdy springs. Husband was pleasantly surprised that morning to find the door repaired! 

I replaced the door hinges and couldn't get part #s model # on the stove. Showed a newer model with hinges and receivers not hinges on the older stove. I went on the internet after searching for a while and came up with almost the exact stove and original hinges that I needed. I punched the model # into the Sears database got the correct part #s and ordered from AppliancePartsPros.com. We received the correct parts within 4 days and performed the repair all is well. 

Replace both hinges. 

Although one hinge was OK I replaced both. 

Received my parts fast. My son removed and replaced both in about 10 minutes. No more fighting with the door to open. 

Ordered the parts and my husband fixed it. 

We purchase both a left and right hinge. It took about 15 minutes to install the new hinges and now the door opens easily. If I had only known how easy it would be to fix the oven door, I would have ordered the hinges years ago. 

I ordered parts, was easy to find parts needed on-site. They arrived 1.5 days later. Really didn't think they would, but was I surprised. Parts were exactly what I ordered and were able to finish the repair myself in a matter of about 30 minutes. Saving me a hefty service call.
