How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP6037347 / WE01X25316 Dryer Door Latch

With the parts in hand and the how-to video supplied by the parts provider. The repair was simple. I am never ordering from anyone else, these folks are the absolute best! 

Very easy . 

Latch was a 1-minute repair and so was the knob. 

I ORDERED THE STRIKE AND LATCH FROM Y'ALL AND IT FIXED IT. 

Ordered new GE dryer strike plate w/stick and latch. Switched out dryer latch. Turns out it is the dryer sensor, Switched the opening ot the dryer door to the opposite side. That worked for several cycles until the sensor not reading door closure so I'm having to apply pressure to the bottom of the dryer door (where the sensor is located) before starting. 

The repair went as planned 

I replaced the door switch, now it starts right up and stays on for the cycle. 

Replaced lint filter and door latch, but door switch was the answer. Works great! No video for this model but was able to view a similar one to follow. 

Ordered parts and replaced parts. 

Easy fixing, 5 minute job.
