How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP4338432 / WR71X10764 Refrigerator Door Bin Shelf Insert

Ordered the parts and put them in place, 

Easy fix. 

Ordered new parts. 

I guess the refrigerator is so old it was difficult to locate the parts. Darlene searched tirelessly. She called me back within half hour to say she'd found it. She sent me the link to directly order the parts. She made it as easy as possible. They arrived within a day. Thank you, Darlnene! 

Super fast delivery, it was next day, very surprised. Easy install. One thing though, box came with only three items in it. I ordered four total. The packing slip said four items. So in order to find out why the fourth item was not there (I thought they made a packing mistake) I called to find out what happened. The conversation was very nice, the representative told me it was in a second box and that it was in transit and would probably get in the next day, which it did. Now they could have avoided me taking my time and using their time and money to figure out what happen to the fourth item if they had simply made a note on the packing slip that one item was shipped in a second box. All and all, a good experience. 

Removed broken insert pieced. Installed new replacement part. 

Replaced shattered front clear panel. 

I watched the video and bought a new damper kit, thanks to your recommendation. I tore open open the old damper assembly, and sure enough it was broken! My replacement took :15 minutes and I did it with food in the frig! Since I couldn't UN-plug my frig (too tight fit) so I popped the circuit breaker and changed it all in :15 min. Ha! 

The part fit great and looks great 

Just put the new one on by hand (approx 20 seconds).
