How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3995164 / WE1M652 Dryer Timer Knob

Ordered another one and put it on and it worked 

Opened the package, and pushed it on. Fit great! Works Great! 

I measured the knob, found the part numer and the website made it easy. I was able to confirm that the part would fit. 

We fixed this by ourselves. It was so easy to order the parts and got it the very next day. 

We ordered the part and it was the perfect fit, since it was a standard part. The best part was the delivery, we ordered the part expecting to have a 5 day delivery, but it was delivered the next day. Not sure how that was accomplished , but it was great. Now that we have found Appliance Parts Pro...we will begin doing smaller repairs ourselves. Thanks 

Ordered the parts and they were delivered the very next day!!! Very easy only needed a screwdriver and it took less than 15 minutes 

At first I thought that the timer was bad, because there was no resistance when I turned the timer knob. I was not looking forward to tackling that project or paying to get it repaired. I pulled off the knob and upon inspection noted that the socket in the back was cracked, preventing it from properly engaging the timer shaft. A pair of Vice Grips served as a temporary workaround solution. It was very easy to find the proper replacement knob from your site. I ordered two in order to have a spare knob if this happens again. Delivery was prompt and the repair was implemented without incident. 

I ordered a new replacement part. 

We noticed the Dryer didn't stop when it was time to stop. Looked up the Model, searched the Internet and found appliancepart.com, they had the specific Timer. We purchase and had it in my hands in four days. We copied the way the cables were on the old timer before removing it. In five minutes we had it installed and all it took was a Phillip screwdriver. The Dryer is as good as the new one we almost had to buy. Thanks again appliancepart.com.
