How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP5808937 / WB56X22160 Electric Range Oven Door Window Pack Assembly

Easy removal and installation if you are slightly handy. Did the job in 30 min. Replacement part wa perfect. 

I remove the door from the oven. Then replace the glass from the door and replace it with the new part. 

The window pack arrived in less than 48 hours and was a perfect match. Installation was pretty simple and in about 30 minutes the oven was as good as new. 

Ordered the part Window Pack Asm WB56X22160 / AP5808937, watched the video. Delivery was quite fast. The repair was quite easy, although the video was slightly out of date. The oven door on this model oven was a touch different and the door handle fell off when I loosened some screws. So the whole process took a few minutes longer than otherwise. But all in all I'm a satisfied customer.

After wiping inner glass (following using oven) the glass cracked. . . make sure you allow oven to cool down to avoid my costly mistake. My husband and I viewed the video several times, purchased the tools needed, and we successfully changed the cracked inner glass and got a lot of satisfaction from the whole task as well as having saved hundreds on having a person come to the house. . . The part itself was about $375.00 with tax and shipping, but we still saved.

Thanks to YouTube (and previous experience) we were able to replace the door glass quickly and relatively easily. We have done repairs on this stove before (with parts from Appliance Parts Pros) and I have become fairly confident about fixing it. We took off the door, removed the screws holding the layers together, took out the shattered glass, replaced it with the new pieces, and screwed the whole thing back together. It was also a wonderful opportunity to clean out the nooks and crannys of the door.
