How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP6798426 / AAA74509938 Accessory Assembly (Assembly)

Replaced both of them 

I replaced the bearings and the seal. I followed the video you posted on You Tube and it was extremely helpful. The repair took about 5 hours and a lot of that was cleaning the drum and tub parts once they were disassembled. It is back together and working well. 

Replaced the water intake hoses and put new cap on softener. EZPZ ! 

I watched the video on ApplianceParts.com and read the blog. The blog included a part number to order. Before ordering the part, I tried to use the web sites's part verification feature by entering the washer model number. However, that feature didn't work, so I contacted live chat. That chat turned out to be useful because the part number I had was for a different machine, and I was directed to order a different part. Once I received the part, the very clear video made it easy to install. I also replaced the washer hoses 

Took the top of the washing machine off, unscrewed the inlet valves, took off the internal hoses. Screwed the new inlet valves in, put the internal hoses back on, put the top of the washing machine back on.
