How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP5657408 / AEH36821908 Door Closer

Replaced door hinge. 

I replaced the door closer for the left door it was a piece of cake, the hard par was finding the part I needed I looked every where I mean every where, Then I found Appliance Parts Pros, They saved the day. Thank You Guys Your Awesome 

Appliance Parts Pros had parts diagrams that allowed me to see that the model of my LG refrigerator had an insert cartridge that slid up into the door that was referred to as a door closer. I'm just a DIY-er so I clicked through the pictures of the part and saw also a video where they described the symptoms and went through the fix. I ordered the parts to fix the bad door and replace the other one proactively and they arrived in like 2 days! I followed the video that I had seen on the parts listing. Everything was fixed with no drama. Only thing I'd add is to emphasize that when re-installing the doors, hold the door in approximately the 90 degree open position to get the door closer keyed shaft to drop in when re-setting the doors. 

All parts I ordered fit perfectly 

Ordered the left side door closer and followed the online tutorial on replacement. Took me maybe 15 minutes to replace it and the door is as good as new! Follow the tutorial exactly and you'll have not issues. 

Purchased parts from AppliancePartsPros.com. Watched their video of the repair; Installed new center (lower) hinges. 

Replaced both lower hinges and it did fix the problem. The only issue I had was when reinserting the water line. Because of the slight bend in the hose, it was catching at the end before exiting in the back. Hopefully I didn't tweak the line to cause any future issues. I did need pliers to pull one of the old hinges out. 

Replacing the door hinge and stopper assembly was very easy, once I figured out you had to disconnect the water supply on the back of the fridge before removing the door. 

Took the door off by following an LG video which took about 10 minutes. I replaced the center hinge and put the door back on. 

Looked on YouTube to find the fix, they gave me the part number that I ordered from you. Took door off, replaced part, reinstalled the door.
