How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4442284 / AEQ36756901 Ice Maker Assembly

New replacement. Very simple to replace. Best part was how fast we received the new one. Ordered it one day, it shipped the next day and we received it the day after it was shipped. 

Ordered and installed ice maker assembly. Very easy one plug and one ground replacement. Give the fridge a little time, ice will fall eventually. 

Ordered a new ice maker for the model I have. Received it and it was the right one. It only had two screws and a wire harness it took about five to ten minutes. It was a easy fix. I 

Ordered a new ice maker from you and received it within 2 days. I was astonished. Opened the package I received from you. Opened my refrigerator door (its a door ice maker), removed two screws, unclipped the wire clip. Pushed in the wire clip onto the new unit, put it in place with two screws and turned it on. And it works great. It's quiet and dumped ice within 45 minutes. I'm extremely pleased with the entire process. I was able to do it myself,took about 6 minutes and I saved some money.

Replaced assembly 

I replaced the ice maker wth the smallest part I could purchase to stop the water leak. The work was very minimal. The grounding screw sheared off holding the ground wire. I looked at the new unit and saw there were no threads into where the ground screw belongs and decided it required a sheet metal screw. I had what I needed and installed the new unit wth no problems. 

I ordered a new icemaker from Appliance Parts Pro and it arrived in about 3 days. The small 6 wire plug in the back was difficult to pull out due to the short length of the wires. The ground wire had a Phillips head screw that was impossible to remove so I cut the wire and replaced it with a detachable wire. The hole the ground screw goes into was not threaded so I had to use a 1/4 x 28 tap to add a screw and secure the ground wire. My old ground wire was extremely loose because the original screw was not tightened securely. The ice maker works fine now. Because of the ground wire, the job took about an hour.
