Eugenia K Detroit , MI August 27, 2016 Led lights on control panel were burnt out could not set temperatures Ordered this part (saved almost $100 off the manufacturer's price). Used a screwdriver and butter knife to loosen edges of control board and ice/water dispenser part. Pulled out connections from old part. Unscrewed 9 screws to take out whole part and slightly bigger part on top. Put in new part and redid new connections, screwed in screws and pushed whole dispenser/board piece back into fridge until it snapped. I did this with my male friend, as I am a female. I probably could have figured out how to do this with the help of previous answers, but it would have taken me much longer. My male friend held the dispenser part for me and I did the screws and connections part. He helped me with some connectors. He made the repair go faster and easier (about 40 minutes from start to finish)! I now have a solid place to get my LG parts. Read More... 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
