How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4442090 / 6600JB1010A Refrigerator Door Switch

Found APP.Com. Had great help determining the problem, finding and ordering the part (Switch, push button). Simple replacements 

I ordered a new switch from AppliancePartsPros.com and replaced it myself. 

I watched a video on how to remove the old switch... It's an LG refrigerator, it took me no more than 60 seconds to remove. I ordered a new switch plugged it in and now I am happy! The replacment switch was 100% identical in every way to the original... The service and Delivery and Pricing from Appliance Parts Pros.Com was outstanding!! I recomend them to anyone and everyone!! My son ordered a new switch. He followed the directions on YouTube and fixed it. The most difficult was to get the original switch out.....it was an awkward angle, but he did it and I happily open the door to a lighted interior. 

AppliancePartsPros.com had a video detailing how to remove and replace the switch. They had the correct part. Using standard shipping, the part arrived in two days. The replacement was easily accomplished. Now we can clearly see all of the moldy food in the fridge! Frictionless fix. 

Installed a new light switch 

Ordered the part, watched a video and even with all ten of my thumbs was able to fix the problem in ten minutes. 

Pretty easy fix, once you know which part to get. There is no video on how to popup this particular switch out but basically start prying up the edge w/ the plastic retainer and eventually it will give. Make sure to turn off the fridge when you do it. 

I ordered a new switch from Appliance Parts Pro which was the exact same switch I had to replace and it was 34% less expensive than getting it from Sears or a local parts house. I will recommend and continue to use Appliance Parts Pros in the future.
