I found the correct replacement part online and a video showing how easy it is to remove the faulty part and how to install the replacement part. Extremely easy process and very economical. Made the mistake of asking a handy man to help me who promptly cut one of the wires before I was able to stop him. Fortunately he was able to splice a piece of wire from the inside wiring and the plastic piece with the 4 wires.
