I opened the box carefully with a sharp edge. Then I lifted out the shelf, that was well wrapped and I unwrapped it. I slowly turned... and step by step, inch by inch, I approached the offending door situation. When the refrigerator was not looking I opened the door, inch by inch and degree by degree. Lifting and placing the shelf component in the appropriate location of the door, I pushed down against the designed friction points, meant to hold the shelf in place, and "wahla" a snapping sound indicated successful placement.
