How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4136952 / DA34-00006C Refrigerator Door Switch

Replaced mother board and door switch. 

Poped it out poped it in 

I used one of your how to videos (even thought it was for a different model), popped it out and replaced, and fixed in under 2 minutes. 

Checked bulb, then circuit board connection on back and then pulled apart the switch mechanism to find that one of the copper conductors was broken. I attempted to solder the two pieces together, but that only worked for about 5 mins till it broke again. Ordered the new part which fit and worked perfectly. Problem solved. 

I pulled the broken one out and plugged in the new one. 

Ordered new sensor and replaced broken one 

The freezer fan should turn off and of course the freezer light should turn on when the freezer door is opened. With these symptoms I knew the switch was bad without even metering across the switch contacts so I just went ahead and replaced it fixing the problem. Use a screwdriver to pry the switch out and pull the connector out of the switch. Very easy for anyone to do. (Always unplug power first) This switch operates the refrigerator light and fan as well.

With a thin blade screwdriver, the switch popped out , unplugged it, replaced with new switch. total time , 5 minutes including time to find thin blade screwdriver
