How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4135589 / DA34-00041A Refrigerator Door Switch

Wow if I knew it was this easy to replace the switch that turns on the light, I would not have lived with a Dark Fridge for two years!!! 

Replaced door switch on Samsung double door refrigerator. 

Replaced it with new switch

Was the right part, it took 3 min to fix after watching repair video. 

As directed via the video on APP.com I simply popped out the old switch with a clean plastic gasket scraper instead of a flat head screw driver as directed, swapped it out for the new and popped it back in and.... voila!! Worked great nice quality piece and literally it took me less than 2 minutes. Will use this site again in the future! 

Replaced door switch and refrigerator fan motor. Lights came on after the switch was replaced and replacing the fan motor circulated the air and kept the coils from freezing up. 

Ordered and installed new light switch. 

Replaced. Manufacturer said I would have to have a technical do the repair. It took all of 45 seconds, and I didn't even have to turn the power off. 

I was concerned that I would have to call a repairman to replace the switch.
