How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6015097 / WPW10111905 Dryer Door Catch

Watched YouTube video. Repaired my self! Saved lots of $$$ from calling repair person. paid for next day delivery and received part on time! Thank you for being prompt with delivery. 

The dryer door catch broke and also fell inside of door. i watched the video and it was just as easy to fix as shown. thanks rob 

I researched the owner's manual to see what I needed and contacted the dealer. The dealer prices and shipping were incredibly high, so I went online and found AppliancePartsPros.com and watched the video on how to repair the door catch, as well as several others and decided their videos were so clear that I could easily save myself at least $150 by ordering the part and doing it myself. The part arrived promptly and following the video's instructions, within fifteen minutes, the repair was done and the dryer is good as new. I'll definitely be utilizing this company again. 

Removed and replaced with new strike and catch. Per instruction video. 

I watched the video which accompanied the part. It showed me how to removed the broken part as well as how to install the new part! It was SO easy, and I was able to do it myself! Shipping was FAST, too! I would highly recommend AppliancePartsPros.com! 

The catches break. Its just a matter of time. Fortunately I had a spare from my last order. Ordered a couple more to have spares on hand because when they go, the door won't stay closed and the dryer stops working. Last time, I took off the door and took the door apart to replace the catch. Unnecessary. I followed the video on your site this time and with the aid of a putty knife and some masking tape to protect the paint, I had the catch replaced in a couple minutes. 

This is a recurring problem and actually the second time I have purchased this part from Appliance Parts Pros. There are two of these catches on the door presumably to allow the door to be changed to open in the other direction in case there was an obstruction. I pulled the unused one from the other side with a flat screwdriver blade and installed it on the working side to put the machine back in service right away. Then I ordered two additional spares to cover future repairs. 

I put the new hinge on the dryer door and then snapped in the new catch. Took all of 4 minutes. So happy to have the dryer back in working order. I ordered late on a Sunday and received the parts Tuesday. Great Service!! 

Replaced latch. Works great now.
