How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6023698 / WPW10670845 Ice Bucket

Replaced with new Ice Bucket Assembly 

I purchased a new Ice Bucket container from AppliancePartsPros.com. Then removed the broken container and replace it with the new one. They had an excellent parts diagram for part selection and the quick shipping selection was worth the extra price. 

Took it apart, just a few screws. Put it back together the same way. I took it apart. Very easy. 

I watched the AppliancePartsPros.com. Youtube video and utilized the service instructions link printed on the UPS box. The instructions on the Youtube video were more informed than the printed instructions. I always utilized printed instructions with precise diagrams versus anything on Youtube videos. I consider myself an oldtimer. I finished the job with flying colors. 

I ordered a replacement and thank goodness there was a video on how to replace the part. The spring/bar was a little tricky and took a couple of tries as the bottom portion was not explained. But I managed to figure it out when the first try was not successful. Once I noticed the disconnect on the tension flap, the replacement was successful. 

Installed a new Ice Bucket assembly. 

I got on a chat with APP person (Josh) and he was very helpful in getting me the part number I needed. Then we watched the APP video on how to replace the part - it showed up in just two days All a very easy process. 

Ordered new box, watched video, installed box. 

We replaced it with the new ice bin we ordered from you & followed the on line direction in the video. Your directions were very complete & simple to do with your assistance you even told me what tools to use & the correct size nut driver. Thank You so very much. 

Very simply to replace, fast shipment also, took me 10 mins tops to replace the part myself.
