How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6008299 / WP3389441 Female Dryer Door Catch

Replace the latch and catch took maybe 5 minutes

Went online, stumbled across appliancepartspros. Found the part I needed and a couple extra since they were so cheap. Ordered my parts. Ordered them for a 2 day delivery. Reciever all the right stuff. Repaired the dryer that evening. Easypeasy, dryer works good as new!!! 

Replaced door catch. 

Ordered and replaced female dryer door catch. 

I followed the video on the parts page and had the part replaced in no time. My dryer door was slightly different than the example, but the concept was the same. My part arrived the next day and the repair took less than a half-hour. Extremely satisfied with this site 

The door catch needed to be replaced. One piece later and the door now latches just fine! Yay!
