How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6010671 / WP71001680 Element, Bake

I diagnosed the problem, found Appliance Parts Pros and watched their video. It was as easy as the video they made said it would be. Overall an amazing experience. I was quoted $250 to have the repairman come do the same thing. My cost was $40. 

Ordered a new one. 

Checked for voltage at oven bake element when it was set. Had voltage but no amperage. Ordered new Bake heating element. 

My son was able to plug in the element very quickly and the oven worked great. This was fantastic since I was in the middle of a catering job and I needed more desserts baked. Thank you for the great service. 

Ordered new element 

I bought a new Bake Element, installed it and it works!! 

Turn off 2-ploe breaker to oven, pulled the element out for access to the wires, turn the breaker back on and found voltage to the element, but wouldn't heat up. Replaced the element and works perfect. I also replaced the oven racks since (someone, not me) forgot to remove when they cleaned the oven last time, what a difference that makes just sliding in and out easily 

I replaced the bottom element with the new one and it works great 

Not yet fixed, it is the oven control unit that is bad not the element. Parts fit very well this is an easy diy project. Turn off the breaker...otherwise sparks will fly from the element terminals. :/ Door seal is also an easy fix, the spring clips match very well to the holes. 

Watched the video and Replaced the oven element.
