How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4299836 / 8206229A Grease Filter

We were not able to find these at any local parts stores. Looked online and found the exact ones we needed. They fit perfect! 

Replaced all the pieces. 

Installed new ones 

Grease filters went in very easy and grille was just a matter taking 2 screws out,pulling off the old broken grille and putting the new grille in place and putting in the old screws in place.Just a note that the new grilles do not come with new screws so save your old ones or you need to order the screws with a new grille. 

Remove range top. Needed to release gas jets with 5/8 deep socket contrary to directions that came with the stove to remove top. Unplugged wires to the spark ignition. Removed top by by lifting and shifting to the right. Replaced thermostat and threaded temp sensor into oven. Oven now works fine. 

Just changed the required parts 

Very easy to fix- and got me also do a power cleaning on the whole oven! 

I replaced the grease filter and exhaust filter with OEM spec parts from AppliancePartsPros. 

Found replacement filters on this site. Received them in 2 days. Fit was perfect. Just slipped them into place. Worked great. 

Purchased new vent grill and screwed it on.
