Jack W Cary , NC July 12, 2015 Appliance: Maytag Undercounter Dishwasher MDB6601AWS46 Leaking from the bottom corner After talking with the rep from appliance pro, she helped me verify wat I needed, everything came as we discussed. After removing the inner door the vent assembly was difficult removing, it does unplug, do not twist it off, had to replace that piece as well. Had to cut of notch on inner door for the vent assembly to reseat properly. It does twist off, just a bear to put back on. once all assembled turned the machine on and no more leaks. Saved a bundle from calling the appliance repair guy. Read More... 10 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers

Jerry S Bridgeport , CT November 02, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Undercounter Dishwasher MDB4651AWB0 Small door leak on my maytag dishwasher Small amount of water started leaking from the left side during the wash cycle. Upon investigation and the leak getting worse over a few leaks, I found that the bottom of the inner door liner was cracked. It should "cup" over an inner lip but the now 1" crack allowed water to flow past the crack and drip onto the floor. I replaced the inner door panel for less than $100 and saved hundreds on buying a new washer. My only problem with the installation was that I had to trim a little (ever so slight) excess plastic from the keyway on the panel steam vent before the vent cover would fit back on correctly. Jeff B Snohomish , WA August 16, 2015 Appliance: Model MAYTAG LEGACY SERIES QUIET SERIES 300 Cracked inner door panel was letting wet stuff out "stay in" command failed to work Replaced inner door panel with new part that arrived in just a few days. Several other comments on this site helped to make the process go smooth as silk. Turn off power to dishwasher at breaker panel. Remove screws around edges of panel, tip panel away from door front. Disconnect electrical connectors to vent and soap dispenser, you might have to jiggle them a bit. Remove inner door panel, compare with new part just-in-case. Swap over the vent and soap dispenser parts to the new panel. Install new panel, taking care to make sure it lines up with everything. Reconnect the electrical connectors. Replace the screws around the edges. Turn power back on. Do it all over again after wife notices the soap dispenser is up-side-down, but this time install the soap dispenser the right way. Stephen K Corinth , TX January 01, 2016 Bottom flange of inner door panel cracked and broke off Ordered and replaced the inner door panel. Most difficult thing was unscrewing the inside vent cover. It turned CCW just about a quarter turn before popping out. The entire part replacement took less than a hour--easy DIY activity. Ordered the part over the weekend, received shipped email on Monday, part arrived Tuesday, and installed Wednesday. Door panel screws were torx type, and I needed to use a small screw driver to pry off electrical connectors. This was a second repair to our DW door. A while back I had to replace the door latch and it was an easy fix too. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers
