Very easy fix once I looked at the parts and watched the videos. Replaced the silverware basket at the same time and now we’ll get a few more years life out of the appliance.
Simple fix using a torx screwdriver to remove the top panel. Once open, I took photos of the wiring and disconnected it.
In reassembling, I found that 3 of the screw mounts on the front panel had broken off. While I could have replaced the front panel, I didn’t want to spend the money nor the time. Instead I used Crazy glue to reposition the parts, and secured them using “JB Weld”, a 2 part epoxy.
I strongly urge you to keep both glued on hand -with all of the plastic parts on appliances these days, epoxy is critical to keeping these parts functional.
Another good experience using Appliance Parts Pros.
