How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6013552 / WP8578873 Timer (Invensys Hd)

Replaced the Timer 

After reading all the troubleshooting on the matter, I ordered a new lid switch and a new timer. I wasn't sure if maybe the new lid switch was the only problem, but didn't want have to take the machine apart for a second time to replace the timer if need be. 

Ordered a new one from Appliance Parts, looked at video made repair in 15 minutes. Saved $175 and did not have to take washer to the repair shop. 

I watched the repair video and followed his instructions. it went very well and did not take very long. I did have some problems getting the needle nose pliers to hold when i took the top off the timer. It went well though, thanks to the video. Thank you for taking the time and having the fore thought to making the instruction video. a Huge HELP.
