How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4011301 / 12200035 Cooktop Burner Control Knob Kit

There were two different knob tpes. Searched your web site, asked some questions, got correct knobs. They were easily changed. 

Replaced switch with a new one. also replaced the 4 knobs 

The new replacement came in a few days so it was out with the old and plug in the new. I also used the opportunity to get new knobs and a couple of grease filters. The interesting thing about this whole situation is that I discovered when thinking about replacing the unit that these indoor grills are no longer made by anyone. Why I don't know, but I suspect it was a safety liability issue caused by people who weren't careful. Anyway, I'm pleased to get it going and I will continue to use about twice a week. I'd previously replaced the fan motor with a part Appliance Pros so it should last longer than I will. 

No brainer; pull off the old knobs, put on the new. Just be sure to check, before you order the replacements, whether your controls have "D" shaped stems or "8" shaped stems. 

Removed cover and replaced swtch 

Ordered new knobs for the stovetop and was apprehensive whether they would fit or not. Perfect! Am quite pleased that I found them. 

Replaced burner control 

Ordered this kit and replaced old knobs with new ones, simple. 

I bought replacement knobs. 

Removed old switch, replaced it with a new one.
