How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4373301 / 6-2097750 Trans Dee

Purchased new transmission and pump and drive belt kit. Removed the damaged transmission and installed the new one and new tub seal. Also installed new pump and drive belts. I had several tips and advice from an AppliancePros technician (Joe Martin) which were quite helpful during the process. All in all, removal of the inner and outer tubs, replacing the tub bearing, tub seal, transmission and belts took approximately 3 hours. 

Purchased one from you and had a repairman install it. 

Before I knew it was the transmission I replaced the belts and drain pump but that did not fix it. Maybe not the smartest investment I’ve made (costly repair of an old machine rather than buying new) but my wife loves the machine and I’m hoping to get another 20 years out of it. I have never tackled anything like this before. The only thing I would suggest is to make sure you have the right tools (especially the spanner wrench). I watched several DIY and YouTube videos before attempting this repair and thought it would be a fun project. All I know is the machine works - still doing some fine-tuning. I had to reattach one of the hoses a little better to fix a small water leak. All in all, I am satisfied with the repair.
