How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4980184 / W10372095 Water Inlet Valve

I simply replaced the existing water intake assembly with the one that I purchased from the Appliance Parts Pros and the washer now functions like new! Very fast delivery and exact part as my original. Thanks! 

Replaced valve.

New water inlet valve & new suspension rods 

After getting the self diagnostic codes on internet for specific model http://appliancediagnostic.com/Washer-Repair/Maytag-Bravos/Maytag-Bravos-Washer-Guide.php, the test confirmed non operational water fill solenoids , delaying the fill time Replaced the water inlet manifold with OEM part obtained through Appliance parts Pro . com , and problem resolved. It took me less than 20 minutes to R&R the old manifold, connect new manifold with updated wiring ( included in the part) . 

I replaced both inlet valve and control board. I'm pretty sure the control board was bad, but replaced the inlet valve as it was fairly old and was having fill problems before getting the F1 code. The repair was still cheaper than having a repair person out to replace one of the two parts. The only issue was that the water inlet valve wiring harness was different than the original. The connectors and a couple of the wire colors were different. Also, if not familiar with the repair, it's a good idea to take pics of the old parts before disconnecting any wiring. 

Replaced the valve assembly. it's working great! 

Checked to make sure the cold water supply was ok then ordered a replacement valve assembly. It took me about 30 minutes to put it in and everything has been fine since. Love your site.
