Shane T Sauk City , WI November 21, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Top Loading Washer SAV2555AWW Leaking water pump worn out belt I replaced the worn parts. Removed the electric motor/pump assembly then took it to my motorcycle repair shop to clean/maintenance the motor, remove the old pump because it was stuck on the motor shaft. Once removed I blew out dust/debris from the motor w/compressed air. Sanded and filed the corrosion off the shaft, applied a "sealing grease" of sorts to the shaft to make potential future removal easier and reassembled. I took the whole wamma jamma home, reinstalled and wah-la, fixed. I am blessed more than most to have access to hand tools and other equipment at my shop. I could've fixed it completely at home but, since I've the ability to take it further, I did. Jeana B Lapeer , MI May 05, 2015 Appliance: Amana Top Loading Washer NAV3330EWW Washer was leaking water Looked up on line causes for a leaky washer. Opened the front panel and there was water on the washer pump. Entered the model # on line and bad pump. I found a step by step video on how change it. So I ordered the part on Thursday and it was here by Saturday morning (Standard shipping). The hardest part of the repair was getting the belt back on, but the rest of the repair was easier than expected. Took me about 40 minutes and that includes 15 minutes wrestling with the belt, belt was hard to get to. Total cost of the repair was $45 and that included shipping. It would of cost at least $200 if I called a professional.
