The upper element had broken and when it was turned on it curved up and contacted the inside of the oven. Since manufacturers only switch one leg of the 220v, the element shorted out on the metal top of the oven. I turned off the power and ordered a new part from Appliance Parts Pros.
They always have the parts that I have looked for. Great prices too. The part arrived a couple of days later and the rest was easy.
