The Oven Bake Element is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool ovens. Located at the bottom of the oven cavity, it is responsible for providing the consistent heat necessary for baking and roasting. This element ensures even cooking by heating up uniformly and maintaining the set temperature throughout the cooking process.
Over time, the bake element can wear out or become damaged due to repeated exposure to high temperatures, spills, or power surges. Normal wear and tear, as well as accidental impacts during oven cleaning or rack adjustments, can also lead to the element malfunctioning.
Symptoms of a bad oven bake element include:
- The oven not heating up or reaching the set temperature
- Uneven baking or longer cooking times
- Visible signs of damage such as burns, blisters, or breaks in the element
- Sparking or unusual noises when the oven is in use
- The element not glowing red-hot during operation
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.
Please Note. Due to a manufacturer change element may appear physically different from the original.
This part fixes the following symptoms
-
Oven not heating evenly
-
Little to no heat when baking
