By replacing the control panel. This is the third appliance I have fixed - first my dryer (control panel) - then the refrigerator in my travel trailer (evaporator fan) and now the range. Not a "tree hugger" but I have respect for the environment and the resources it provides. Although I scrap all metal and motors there was no purpose in spending hundreds of dollars when a bit of time, education and elbow grease would resolve the problem. Oh - word to the wise - the control panel comes without the front cover sheet to label the buttons - I was able to peel it off the old panel but best to check yours in case you need to order that as well.
