When I was shopping to see what parts may cost to repair my machine, I came across the videos to help novices such as myself repair my LG washing machine. I watched the video and at first felt intimidated by the fact that I had to completely break down the machine to do the repair. I watched it a second time and felt that I would be able to do it. I ordered parts and attempted the repair once parts arrived. After getting into the repair, Once I got to removing the spider from the back of the tub, one screw was frozen and there was nothing I could do that worked to free it up. As a result, I ended up damaging a baffle which is not available for sale. I had to buy a new tub which comes with spider and baffles. I had to return my spider. I completed the repair after replacing all 3 shocks, both bearings. tub seal, and a new tub. The machine is completely quite now and sounds and operates like a new one. My washer was built in 2007. I saved having to buy a new machine and hundreds in repairs. I would say that if you are even moderately handy and have a few basic tools, you can do this repair with no sweat. The only area that was a big problem in retrospect was trying to get the inside seal spring reinstalled. I had to get help with that. Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours
