Ordered new part from Appliance Parts Pros. Received new replacement part within 2 days. Shut off breaker. Removed the two oven racks and then removed the old burnt element with a screwdriver making sure the wires that were attached to the element did not fall back into the stove. Then, clipped the two wires (one on either side of stove) to the new element by gently squeezing with needle nose pliers to ensure good connection. All that was left to do was to screw the new element back in place (using the old screws). Turned the breaker back on and fired up the oven to 450 degrees. Element heated up as expected. Let it heat for about 4 minutes to help burn off some of the ‘new’ smell from the element. Turned oven off and returned the shelves to the oven.
All in all a good shopping experience. Thank you.
