How to replace Oven Broil Element. Took the center panel off the back of the oven by removing the 5 screws holding it in place, unplugged the thermocouple and broiler wires. Removed the 4 screws holding the broiler element in place, and removed. Mounted the new thermocouple to the new broiler element, then slid into place and replaced the 4 screws holding it to the top of the oven. Plugged the broiler and thermocouple back in, and it was finished. I decided to see if the replacement faceplate would repair the control panel. I had thought that the control panel was bad because it had become difficult to press the timer button, leading it to crack completely and opened up a small hole on the faceplate. I removed the control panel by removing the 4 screws holding it in place. The faceplate is held on by glue, so I peeled the broken one off. Checked the function of the button that had been giving us issues. Everything seemed to be working fine, so I peeled the adhesive paper covering off the back of the new faceplate, aligned it to the control panel, and stuck it in place. Replaced the control panel in the oven, and put everything back in place. It was a super easy job, and I am not sure it took more than 15-20 min. to complete everything, and have the oven back in place and funtional. 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes
