Replaced old part - eventually. On the first attempt, I ordered the wrong part. I watched a youtube video and the job seemed easy enough so I ordered the part. Be careful - the Door Latch can be ordered without the handle part. I ordered that version first because my dishwasher is bisque color and that version of the latch was the only one that was not black.
When I opened the panel on the dishwasher to replace the door latch, I discovered that it was the handle part that was broken and not the latch part. I would need the "Door Latch Assembly" instead. I checked several parts suppliers and they all said that the bisque version was discontinued so I ordered the "Door Latch "Assembly" (blk) with the black handle.
The job took about 30 minutes only because I was careful not to break anything. I was glad the video included the fact that the electrical connectors would be very tight and require a screwdriver to work them free, as mine needed the same treatment.
The new part worked perfectly and as it turns out the black handle looks fine and it mixes ok with the dark other markings on the dishwasher's front panel.
