The replacement handle is MUCH better than the original. It's black metal vs. cheap plastic. The repair went quickly - it was quite easy. We first removed the outer frame inside the door (get it started using a screwdriver, then use your fingers to work your way around it and pop it off), then discovered we also needed to remove the inside panel, since the screws were behind it (could they not have just made them accessible under the outer frame?!) But that came off fairly easily, then it was just a matter of unscrewing the broken handle and replacing it. So glad we were able to replace the handle instead of having to buy a whole new unit!
