I followed the excellent repair video from appliancepartspros.com.
1. DISCONNECT POWER
2. Remove the bottom rack and unscrew brackets from the countertop.
3. Pull out the dishwasher and tilt it back.
4. Disconnect the leads to the heating element underneath (look out for the 2 plastic disc seals)
5. Unscrew the plastic nuts connected to the element
6. Remove the old element and place the new one through the holes (mind the brackets that hold the element in place above the tub.)
7. Screw on the plastic nuts and place the disc seals back on.
8. Replace the leads
9. Push the dishwasher back under the countertop.
10. Replace the bottom rack and refasten the countertop brackets.
